The Actress/Dancer:
Tina is a versatile performer with strong acting and movement skills. She has starred in several short films and music videos and has worked with Graveyard Train, Jacks Wall Productions, Truce Films and Shilling Entertainment. Tina has been working with Tony Yap Company over the past year, performing in 'Winter Filament' at Fed Square and 'Eulogy of the Living' at the Melaka Art and Performance Festival in Malaysia. She has collaborated with a diverse range of dance , theatre and film artists and performed in productions at The Famous Spiegeltent, ACCA, Melbourne Short and Sweet Festival, both Adelaide and Melbourne Fringe Festivals and at The Place in London.

'Ice heaves and crumbles its way into your soul' (Aussie Theatre) '4 Stars' (Arts Hub)
Exquisite, encrypted, compressed, crumbling. Polarity explores the dynamic movement and extreme nature of Antarctic ice. Through moving bodies, raw sounds of Antarctic ice and shifting shapes, polar icescapes dance in the cityscape, reflecting our deep connection to and impact upon the continent of ice. Venue: Federation Square Car Park Roof.
Tina was the first dance artist ever awarded an Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship and she sailed to Antarctica in 2010 visiting Davis and Mawson stations. From this spectacular experience she developed Polarity + Body of Ice. For more details click here.
Prior to directing and choreographing her first full length work Polarity Tina directed, choreographed and performed dance theatre solo Toys, "a dark but powerful expose of the sex trade" (The West Australian). Merging dance with film, sound and glad wrap the work created a stark and captivating representation of sex trafficking, a trade thriving worldwide. Toys was presented as part of Dance a la Carte at Blue Room Theatre in Perth 2008, prior to a stand alone sell-out season at the 2009 Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Tina's first choreographic work Made In Australia explored sweatshop labour and was performed at the Perth Institute for Contemporary Art in 2003, and was selected for presentation in Freshbait at the 2004 Adelaide Fringe Festival. Tina also collaborated with Oxfam Australia and presented the work as part of their 'Make Trade Fair' campaign. The dance film of Made In Australia was selected as a 'Best Dance Film' Finalist at the 2004 Australian Dance Awards and was also screened on local television.
Training:
Tina graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2003. She has since trained with a broad range of artists in Australia and overseas spanning dance, acting, Butoh, physical theatre and voice training.
In her youth Tina performed for several years with the SA Children's Ballet Company and trained extensively in RAD Ballet and contemporary dance with Beverley Waters, Viviene Winter and Christine Underdown.
